"JOHNSTON TAYLOR - DEATH OF OLD CITIZEN AFTER AN ILLNESS OF OVER TWO YEARS"
Johnston TAYLOR died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. L. LEONARD, 200 West Third Street, at 6 o'clock Thursday morning, Jan 26, at the advanced age of 76 years. Mr. TAYLOR has been confined to his bed with paralysis for over two years. He was born in Beaver Co, Pennsylvania, Jan 13, 1823, and came with his parents to Ohio in 1826 to settle upon a farm in Franklin township. He married Amy MCLELLAND, of Wooster, March 18, 1851, who has been dead four years. They had but one child, Mrs. W. L. LEONARD, with whom he has made his home since the death of his wife. Funeral services Saturday at 2 p.m. from the family residence, conducted by the Rev. E. B. Fairfield, of the First Congregational Church, of which he was a member."
